9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech

Day 1: Arrive to Casablanca & Transfer to hotel

Welcome to Morocco! After you land in the Casablanca, our driver/guide will pick you up from the airport and take you to your accommodation to check-In and rest.

Then, we will have a slow first day of our 9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech visiting Casablanca and getting to know the city. 

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

The 2nd day of our 9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech starts with our driver picking you up from your Hotel at 8am for a visit to the famous Hassan II mosque.  

Then we will drive towards Rabat, the beautiful Moroccan Capital, exploring this charming modern city and discovering its magnificent Hassan tower as well as many other fascinating historical sites. After that, we will start our excursion towards the blue Chefchaouen, through the mesmerizing views and captivating forests of the Rif Mountains. 

Upon our arrival, we will visit the captivating Ras El Ma, a beautiful river, where the water comes gushing out of the mountain. Then you will have some free time to walk through the blue-washed streets of the medina, enjoying its calm, and relaxing atmosphere. Chefchaouan has an authentic architecture style influenced by the old Jewish culture.

During your walk through the street of Chefchouen you will find the most beautiful Moroccan handicrafts, mostly colorful woven items, to choose from and shop for souvenirs.

At the end of our memorable day trip, we will spend the night in a traditional fancy Hotel right in the heart of the blue town.

Day 3 : Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

On the 3th day of our 9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will leave the blue pearl towards Meknes, the 17th-century old capital, to explore its unique culture and impressive historical sites, such as Bab El Mansour, Sahrij Essouani, The Royal Stables and Granaries, and the underground monuments.

Next, we will head towards Volubilis, passing by Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, the holy village. Once we get to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, we’ll get to explore the ancient history of the Roman Empire, witnessing the most magnificent ruins and majestic surviving gates.

Last, we will continue our journey crossing the fascinating views of the Moroccan countryside heading towards Fez, the spiritual capital of Morocco, where we will be spending our night.

Day 4: Fez Guided tour

We will start the morning of the 4th day of our Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech with a delicious Fassi breakfast before we start exploring Morocco’s oldest city. On our Fes guided tour, our team will take you to the mesmerizing Royal Palace, to see its magnificent brass doors, surrounded by fine zellige, and carved cedar wood.

Next, we will take you to Jnane Sbile Gardens, to walk amongst and admire its beautiful natural views and centered Moroccan fountains followed by a visit to the Mellah, the first Moroccan Jewish Quarter.

After that, we will wander through the narrow streets of the old Medina, lined with the most beautiful Moroccan handicrafts. We will be admiring the captivating architecture and the culture of one of the oldest medinas in the whole world. We will also take you through the city’s most known historical sites such as : University of Al Qarawiyyin, El Merenid Tombs, Bab Boujloud, Chouara Tannery, The Madrasas.

After an unforgettable Guided Tour in the ancient city, we will head back to the hôtel/Riad to spend the night.

Day 5: Fez – Ziz valley – Erg Chebbi 

On the next morning of our 9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we’ll start the day with a drive through the spectacular views of the Middle Atlas Mountains passing by the green Cedar Forests and the Berber village of Immouzer, and heading towards Ifrane, also known as the little Switzerland of Morocco.

After Ifrane, we will visit the Berber town of Azrou and wander through its magnificent Cedar forest to get some clean fresh air and play with the little tricky monkeys. Then we will continue towards Midlet, the Berber village of Rocks, where we will have a traditional Moroccan lunch and learn more about the Moroccan ancient Berber culture.

Later on, we will head towards Merzouga, the golden gate of the Sahara desert passing via Ziz valley and the dramatic views of Ziz Gorges. Upon our arrival, we will check-In to the hotel to rest and spend the night.

Day 6: Merzouga desert – Camel rides

After breakfast on the 6th day of our 9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will start our day with a short Desert excursion from the hotel and heading towards the Sahara dunes to visit Berber villages and have some tea with a Nomad Family.

Later in the afternoon, we will ride our camels to the desert camp. Your camel guide will take you to witness a beautiful sunset on the top of the Erg Chebbi dunes, then drop you off at the camp where you will have dinner and spend an unforgettable Sahara night under the stars.

Day 7: Desert tour – Rissani – Todra gorges – Dades valley

On the 7th day of our Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech we will wake up early in the morning  to catch a magical sunrise over the golden sands of an endless Sahara.  

After breakfast and a warm relaxing shower, we will continue our 9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech towards Rissani, the home founder of the Moroccan ruling dynasty, where we’ll get to discover its colorful Souks and ancient culture.

Next, we will drive towards Todra Gorges,  discovering its remarkable orange cliffs, a perfect destination for climbers and adventure lovers. We would also get to visit its authentic mosques, colorful lanterns and famous textiles. 

The last stop for the day would be the Dades valley, a little green paradise hidden in the bare Moroccan desert, where we will have a delicious meal for dinner, and spend the night in a lovely hotel across the river.

Day 8: Dades Valley – Ait benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast in our hotel/riad, we will start the 8th day of our 9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech with a drive through the beautiful valley heading towards Ouarzazate via the berber village Skoura, to discover its magnificent Kasbahs and enjoy a delicious local lunch.

Once we get to ouarzazate, we will visit and walk through its colorful old souks and authentic ancient mud streets. Following that, our team will take you to visit the magnificent International film Studio, to see where some of Hollywood’s greatest movies and series were made such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Babel, and The Jewel of the Nile.

Later on, we will continue towards the remarkable kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, discovering ancient royal palaces and getting a real glimpse of authentic ancient Moroccan architecture. We will then have our lunch, a delicious combination of Moroccan flavors, in a traditional restaurant before leaving Ait Benhaddou and driving through the adventurous roads of the Tizi’N tichka Pass. 

Lastly, we will head to Marrakech, Morocco’s red city where we will be spending the night.

Day 9: Marrakech tour – Casabalanca

Depending on the time of your departure flight, you may be able to do some last-minute sightseeing in Marrakech such as El Bahia Palace and El Badii Palaces, and the Saadian Tombs, you could also see the Majorelle Gardens, an iconic garden retreat built over forty years by French painter Jacques Majorelle and later inhabited by famed designer Yves Saint Laurent.

When the time comes for your flight, we will drive you to Casablanca and drop you off at the casablanca Mohammed V international airport marking the end of the 9-Day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech and our journey together.
