Our driver will pick you up from your hotel/riad in marrakech in the morning of the 1st day of our 5-Day Morocco Desert tour from Marrakech, then we will drive through the high atlas mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka, which goes up to 2260m, reaching Ait Benhaddou village, the fortified ksar with its beautiful kasbahs. Ait benhaddou has served as a natural scenery for many movie producers.
Next, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Berber meal for lunch before continuing our journey to Dades valley passing by Ouarzazate also known as the door of the Royal Sahara desert. We will also pass through the palm grove of Skoura as well as the Valley of roses where we will spend the first night.
In the morning of day 2 we will continue our 5-Day Morocco Desert tour from Marrakech, to Tinghir, a beautiful palm grove, driving through the road of the marvelous thousand Kasbahs witnessing the colorful berber villages of the Dades valley.
After that, We will head to the Gorge of Todgha “the magnificent Canyons of Morocco”, where we will go trekking along its canyons of about 300 m high, discovering the perfect combination of the Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert, a preferred place for mountain climbers.
Next, we will continue our journey, heading to the Erg chebbi dunes right in the heart of the Merzouga Sahara desert. We will have time for lunch on our way.
Once arrived at the dunes of Erg chebbi. We will check-In to a lovely hotel where you will get to have the rest of the day to relax.
After breakfast of the 3rd day of our 5-Day Morocco Desert tour from Marrakech, we will visit both Merzouga and its plates desert followed and the khamlia village also known as the he Gnaoua village.
During our visit we will meet some of the Berber nomads living the desert, to experience and get to learn more about their lifestyle, share their food, learn about their traditions and hear all about their mysterious stories.
Later in the afternoon, we will camel ride to our camp. On our way, we will stop to take pictures and witness one of the best sunsets in the world, over the golden dunes of the Sahara desert.
For the night, you will have a private tent and a delicious dinner right under the starry night sky of the desert.
After a quiet and memorable night in the Erg chebbi dunes, we wil wake early in the morning of the 4th day of our Morocco Desert tour from Marrakech to catch a magical golden sunrise over the Sahara dunes.
After breakfast and a warm shower, we will head towards Rissani to explore the palm grove as well as the tourist area including the known Mausoleum of moulay Ali Cherif.
Then, we will have lunch in the nkoub area before continuing to ouarzazate, passing through the Draa valley, one of the biggest palm groves of morocco.
Once we arrive in Ouarzazate, we will check-in our riad/hotel where we will have dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast of the last of our Morocco Desert tour from Marrakech, we will drive back to the red city passing by the Ait Benhaddou village once again to visit this stunning world heritage site, one of Morocco’s most spectacular ksours (fortified villages).
Then, we take a detour in our drive to Marrakech to the traditional Berber village of Telouet visiting the kasbah el ghaoui and crossing the high atlas mountain.
Once arrived in Marrakech, we will drop you off at your accommodation to mark the end of the 5-Day Morocco Desert tour from Marrakech and our journey together.
