Welcome To Morocco! To start the first day of our 8-Day Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, our driver will pick you up from either the airport or your hotel in Casablanca.
We will first visit the mosque of Hassan II, then drive towards Rabat, the beautiful Moroccan Capital, visiting this charming modern city and its magnificent Hassan tower, the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat built around the end of the 12th century, as well as many other fascinating historical sites.
After that, we will start our excursion towards the blue city of Chefchaouen, through the mesmerizing views and captivating forests of the Rif Mountains.
Upon our arrival, we will take you through the captivating Ras El Ma, a beautiful river where the water comes gushing out of the mountain. Then you will have some free time to walk through the blue-washed streets of the city, enjoying its calm, and relaxing atmosphere.
Chefchaouan has an authentic architecture style influenced by the old Jewish culture. The night will be spent in one of the fancy traditional hotels of the blue city Chefchaouen. During your walk through the street of Chefchouen you will find the most beautiful Moroccan handicrafts, mostly colorful woven items, to choose from and shop for souvenirs.
At the end of our memorable first day, we will spend the night in a traditional fancy Hotel in the heart of the blue Chefchaouen.
On the 2nd day of our 8-Day Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, we will leave the blue pearl of Morocco heading to Meknes, the 17th-century old capital, to explore its unique culture and impressive historical sites, such as Bab El Mansour, Sahrij Essouani, The Royal Stables and Granaries, and the underground monuments.
Next, we will head towards Volubilis, passing by Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, the holy village. Once we get to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, we’ll get to explore the history of the Roman Empire, witnessing the most magnificent ruins and majestic surviving gates.
Last, we will continue our Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen to Fes crossing the fascinating views of the Moroccan countryside.
We will start our lovely morning of the 3th day of our Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen with a delicious Moroccan breakfast before we start exploring Morocco’s oldest city. On our Fez guided tour, our team would take you to the mesmerizing Royal Palace, to see its magnificent brass doors, surrounded by fine zellige, and carved cedar wood.
Next, we will take you to the Mellah, the first Moroccan Jewish Quarter, and Jnane Sbile Gardens with its beautiful natural views and the centered Moroccan fountains.
After that, we will wander through the narrow streets of the old Medina, lined with the most beautiful Moroccan handicrafts. We will be admiring the captivating architecture and the culture of one of the oldest medinas in the whole world. We will also take you through the city’s most known historical sites such as : University of Al Qarawiyyin, El Merenid Tombs, Bab Boujloud, Chouara Tannery, The Madrasas..
After an unforgettable Guided Tour in the ancient city, we will head back to the hôtel/Riad to for the rest of the evening and spend night.
We will start the 4th Day of our 8-Day Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen with a drive through the spectacular views of the Middle Atlas Mountains, after that, we will continue our way passing by the green Cedar Forests and the Berber village of Immouzer, towards Ifrane, also known as the little Switzerland of Morocco.
After Ifrane, we will visit the Berber town of Azrou and wander through its magnificent Cedar forest to get some fresh air and play with the little tricky monkeys. Then we will continue on the drive to Midlet, the Berber village of Rocks, where we will have a traditional Moroccan Lunch and learn more about the Moroccan ancient Berber culture.
Later on, we will head towards Merzouga, the Golden Gate of the Sahara via Ziz Valley and the dramatic views of Ziz Gorges. Upon our arrival to the Merzouga Desert we will take our camels into the golden sands of the endless Sahara, enjoying the majestic view of the sunset and the sensational feeling of the Sahara desert.
We will spend the night in a lovely Desert Camp, enjoying the silence of the Desert under a magical starry night sky.
On the 5th day of our 8-Day Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, we will wake up early in the morning to catch a magical sunrise over the golden sands of an endless sahara.
After a delicious breakfast back in the camp, we will travel across the Erg chebbi dunes of Merzouga to meet our private driver, who’ll take us on a 4.5-hour drive to the Dades Valley, an oasis city that sits at the foot of the Atlas mountains.
We will stop on our way in Rissani before setting out across the plains. This town is an excellent place to visit a traditional countryside souk, where many animals are bought and sold. be sure to stop by the “donkey parking lot” while you’re there.
Once we hit the road again, it’s a spectacular journey across Morocco, the views are vast and extensive, with desert plains, high mountains, and plateaus all around. Along the drive, we’ll see forests of umbrella-shaped Acacias that have adapted to thrive in the harsh environment of the Sahara.
Next, we will head towards Dades Gorges, where we will explore its remarkable orange cliffs and cliff-sided canyons, a stunning combination of atlas mountains and charming desert, making it a perfect destination for climbers and adventure lovers. We would also visit its authentic mosques, colorful lanterns and famous textiles.
Once we arrive at Dades Valley, a little green paradise hidden in the bare Moroccan desert. We will have a delicious local Moroccan dinner, and spend the night in a little lovely hotel across the river.
We will start the 6th day of our Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, with breakfast in the Hotel before driving towards Ouarzazate passing by the Berber village of Skoura. Once in Ouarzazate, we will walk through the town’s colorful old souks and authentic ancient mud streets.
After that, our team will take you on a visit to the magnificent International Film Studio, to see where some of Hollywood’s greatest movies and series were made such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Babel and The Jewel of the Nile.
Later on, we will continue to the remarkable Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, discovering ancient Royal Palaces and getting a close glimpse of real authentic Moroccan architecture. Then we will have a delicious lunch, the most delicious combination of Moroccan flavors, in a traditional Berber restaurant before driving through the adventurous roads of the Tizi’N Tichka Pass.
Upon our arrival in Marrakech, we will drop you off at the Hotel to get some rest and recharge for the next day.
On the next morning of our 8-Day Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, we will have our breakfast at the hotel, then start exploring the Red City of Marrakech, walking through its narrow red streets and authentic Souks. And visiting its most famous ancient monuments such as, El Bahia Palace, El Koutoubia, and of course Majorelle Gardens.
We will spend our evening wandering through the crowded square of Jemaa El Fena, walking through Musicians, storytellers, Henna Women, Snake charmers, and of course, food sellers, where we will have dinner before heading back to our Hotel to spend the last night of our Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen.
On the last day of our 8-Day Sahara Desert tour from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, it’s sadly time to say goodbye to Morocco. Depending on what time of your departure flight is, you may be able to do some last-minute sightseeing in Casablanca or enjoy tea at one of the traditional cafésof the city before heading to Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport for your flight.
