We will enjoy camel rides, spending a night in the starry desert camp night sky and hike the rose valley through berber villages to meet locals working in their fields, drink and enjoy a cup of tea with them.
Our tours from Tangier will take you through the charming regions and old cities of Morocco, discovering ancient cultures and marvelous landscapes. The tour from Tangier to Chefchaouen and the Sahara Desert starts when our driver picks up from your hotel/airport or seaport and drive you to the blue chefchaouen, passing by the charming city of Tetouan and the marvelous mountain views.
Upon our arrival to Chefchaouen, we will visit the captivating Ras El Ma, a beautiful river where the water comes gushing out from within the mountain.
Next, you will have some free time to walk and wander through the blue-washed streets of Medina, enjoying its calm, relaxing atmosphere and authentic architecture style influenced by the old Jewish culture, and shopping the captivating Moroccan handicrafts to choose from and shop for souvenirs.
Last, we will have our dinner in a local traditional Moroccan restaurant, then spend the night in a cozy hotel/riad.
On the second day of our tour from Tangier to Chefchaouen and the Sahara Desert, we will leave the charming blue pearl towards Morocco’s oldest city, driving through the fabulous views of the high Rif Mountains, passing by Meknes, the magnificent 17th century old capital, followed by a visit to Moulay Idriss zerhoun, the holiest town in Morocco, and then Volubilis, the ancient Roman Ruins.
The last stop for the day would be Fes, the oldest city in Morocco dating to the 8th century, a fabulous world of narrow streets and medieval Medinas.
After breakfast on the 3rd day of our tour from Tangier to Chefchaouen and the Sahara Desert , we will visit the imperial city of Fes. On our fes guided tours, we would take you to the mesmerizing royal palace, to see its magnificent brass doors, surrounded by fine zellige, and carved cedar wood.
Next, we will take you to The Mellah, the first Moroccan Jewish Quarter, and Jnane Sbile Gardens with its beautiful natural views and the centered Moroccan fountains.
After that, we will wander through the narrow streets of the old Medina, lined with the most beautiful Moroccan handicrafts. We will be admiring the captivating architecture and the culture of one of the oldest medinas in the whole world. we will also take you through the city’s historical site such as : University of Al Qarawiyyin, El Merenid Tombs, Bab Boujloud, Chouara Tannery and The Madrasas
After an unforgettable Guided Tour in the ancient city, we will drop you off at your accommodation hôtel/Riad.
The next day of our tour from Tangier to Chefchaouen and the Sahara Desert , we will leave the old city towards spectacular views of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first destination for the day would be Immouzer, the lovely Berber village with the most beautiful green landscapes and flowing rivers.
After that, we will continue our way through the green cedar Forests towards Ifrane, “The Moroccan Little Switzerland”, a French-Style city, enjoying its cool weather and fascinating architecture. Next, we will stop for a break in Azrou, to learn about the ancient Berber culture and the magnificent Cedar forest, have some clean air and play with the little tricky monkeys.
We will continue to Midlet, the berber village of rocks, where we will have a delicious traditional Berber lunch, and learn more about the ancient Morocco culture. Lastly, we will continue towards Merzouga, the Golden Gate of the Sahara, where we will take our camels on a spectacular Trek admiring the magical sunrise and the sensational calm of the majestic Sahara.
The camels will drop us off in a fabulous cozy desert Camp in the Sahara dunes, to gather around the campfire, enjoy Berber music, and staring at the captivating starry night sky.
We will enjoy a traditional berber meal for dinner, then spend the night in the desert camp.
On the morning of the 5th day, we will wake you up early to witness a magical sunrise over the golden sands of an endless Sahara.
After breakfast and a warm relaxing shower, we will leave Merzouga towards Rissani, the home founder of the Moroccan ruling dynasty. We will visit its colorful souks and ancient culture.
After that, we will head towards Todra Gorges where we will explore its remarkable orange cliffs and cliff-sided canyons making a perfect destination for climbers and adventure lovers and a perfect combination of Atlas Mountains and charming Desert. We would also get to visit its authentic mosques, colorful lanterns and famous textiles.
Later on, we will continue our tour to Dades Valley, the little green paradise in the bare Sahara where we will have our local dinner, then spend the night in a little Guesthouse across the river.
We leave the green Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate, passing by skoura, and the romantic valley of roses. After that, we will explore Ouarzazate and visit Taourirt kasbah.
After that we will visit the magnificent International Film Studio, to see where some of Hollywood’s famous movies and Series were made such as: Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Babel and The Jewel of the Nile amongst others.
Next, we continue our journey to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, discovering ancient Royal Palaces and real authentic Moroccan architecture. We will have a delicious combination of Moroccan flavors for lunch in a traditional Berber restaurant.
Later on, we will drive through the winding roads of Tizi N Tichka Pass and arrive at Red Marrakech late in the afternoon.
After having a delicious breakfast on the 7th day of the tour, we will start exploring the city of Marrakech. We will take you through its ancient monuments such as: El Bahia palace, el Koutoubia Mosque…and of course Majorelle Garden. We will spend our day walking through the narrow red streets and authentic Souks of the old medina of Marrakech.
Later in the evening and after having some free time to walk and enjoy the medina of Marrakech, we will wander through the crowded square of Jemaa El Fna, walking through Musicians, storytellers, henna women, Snake charmers, and food sellers where we will get to try some delicious Moroccan food.
On the last day of our tour from Tangier to Chefchaouen and the Sahara Desert, Sahara holiday’s team will take you to Casablanca, the largest city and the economical capital of Morocco, discovering its Hassan II Mosque, and its marvelous architecture.
The magnificent Mosque is built over the atlantic ocean giving its prayers the feeling of praying directly over the sea. After that, we will leave the city towards Tangier to mark the end of our tour and drop you off at your hotel or port.
